A gaping lens surveying

We dulled Ivory idols
Threaded our frayed ends
Forming a single frame
Answer my prayer for a thought of fear

At a crammed T intersection, observers flood to close the chasm
Cameras atop elongated necks, relatives in bated breath

Focus, at ends with, frozen, at end
Absent and cursed to resolve with what’s left
Chewing through calendar dates, with creases in our Sunday best

A sentence, crooked tongues align in thought of fear
A tenant, passive- aggressive in thought of fear
Dependant, and aligned by a thought of fear

Divine and mundane, cast in yoke
Dragging a cart of gold, with waning interest
lodged in-between destination and travel
Transaction, transaction! The slogan
But both parties are mute, exchange has no currency

Fit for assembly, fit for assembly

In paleness I recognised
A gaping lens, mirroring my image
Producing coarse digits, we saw ‘i’ and forgot ‘they’
Laid down bare motifs of which cascade
And gave credence to this junction that renews the soil
